PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Lee Bowyer insists he is fully focused on Birmingham City's relegation battle rather than a possible transfer ban hanging over the club. A report in the Daily Mail earlier this week claimed the Blues and Sheffield Wednesday are among a host of Championship teams that have been subject to a registration ban since March. Other clubs in question are said to be Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City, Coventry City, Derby County, Huddersfield Town, Luton Town, Reading and Stoke City. The report suggests Huddersfield, thrashed 7-0 at table-topping Norwich City, have now come off the list while Stoke are expected to follow suit. Speaking to Birmingham Live after the Blues goalless draw at Brentford last night, Bowyer said: "All I can say is I heard about it today the same as everybody else did. There’s nothing I can change with that, I was just concentrating on the game, my job is to try and win games. "I have not heard anything from anybody from the club but that’s out of my control, I am not really fussed with that side of things.

They were due in March but that was the month Wednesday finally published their long overdue 2018/19 figures. The Government gave companies an extra three months to file their 2018-19 accounts because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Owls delayed again to take account of their case for breaking English Football League spending rules, which saw them initially deducted 12 points. The delay was partly over the club's controversial sale and leaseback of Hillsborough. The punishment was later halved on appeal. Yorkshire Live understands Wednesday are confident the ban will be removed and have no impact on their transfer activity in the summer window.
