He has become a household name alongside Alexander Armstrong and many viewers will be sad to know he has left his role on the show to pursue a career in writing. However, some may be surprised to find out that Richard isn't the only famous member of the Osman family, and he in fact has a well-known rockstar brother. The 51-year-old BBC star is the younger brother of Mat Osman - a bass guitarist and founder member of Suede, who are considered along Oasis, Blur and Pulp to be one of the biggest Britpop bands in history. Sadly only Mat and singer Brett Anderson remain in the band from the original line-up, with Suede splitting up in 2003 before reuniting seven years later. According to The Mirror, he used to hear Mat recording demos in the family home as a teenager. He told the Douglas Anderson Show once that he has "always been a fan" of his brother's music and said it was "amazing" when he achieved success with Suede in the 90s.
