PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Our Yorkshire Farm highlighted the incredible work of the Swaledale Mountain Rescue in tonight's episode - showing exactly how a rescue mission would work. As the Owen children scatter across 2,000 acres, the volunteers show their grit and determination to hone their skills and locate the children as quickly as possible. The team are available all day and night, 365 days a year, to assist wherever they can and as they explained on the hit Channel 5 show, that can include everything from missing people to injured animals. The rescue team cover the entirety of the Pennine Way and the Coast to Coast walk, as well as nine tops including the Great Shunner Fell which is a staggering 716m. They don't only cover above ground, but also search below in Swaledale's many natural caves and historic lead mines. To search so many areas, the team have to be highly skilled and regularly complete exercises to help them train. With two search dogs, Olly and Cassie, the rescue team are able to split into four in an attempt to cover more ground and find the Owen kids, in what is likely Yorkshire's biggest game of hide and seek. Search dog Olly found Violet and Edith (Image: Swaledale Mountain Rescue) Miles and Sidney are the first to be found after rescue dog Cassie sniffs out their scent, but Amanda who is hidden with Annas and Clemmy, soon follows, despite crossing over the river several times, in an attempt to confuse the rescuers. Edith and Violet are also found with only Reuben victorious thanks to his knowledge of the land. Yet all of the family are out in the highland for more than an hour, showing just how difficult a rescue attempt can be. However, as Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team explain, their role has expanded from just searching for walkers. Having run for 10 years, 90 per cent of the team's incidents are to treat and rescue injured persons from a remote or difficult location. They also spend a lot of their time searching for missing people, such as those suffering with dementia or feeling despondent. Many of the volunteers have helped in life-saving operations, with one team member recounting a tragic helicopter crash near the army barracks in Catterick, where they were able to save multiple lives. Search dog Cassie was adored by the entire family (Image: Swaledale Mountain Rescue) Fans were quick to praise the show for showcasing the amazing work, writing: "Good episode that, showing what a wonderful job Swaledale Mountain Rescue do." A viewer commented in awe: "Just been watching Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team doing a training exercise on Our Yorkshire Farm with the Owen Family. The Yorkshire heroes have also inspired the stars of Our Yorkshire Farm themselves as Reuben is now looking to join the team, and even on the return to Ravenseat, Miles and Sidney stop to help a sheep trapped in the fence.
