Last year Strictly Come Dancing started dropping names in the 2021 line-up from August 4. The show decided to release names over a week-long period, starting with the first three names on BBC's The One Show. Others were named over the course of a week on various shows, including The Lateish Show, Loose Women, Newsbeat, Lorraine, This Morning, BBC Breakfast, Good Morning Britain, Newsround, Steph's Packed Lunch, and even the EastEnders Twitter account. In 2021 the Launch Show aired on September 18, with the live shows starting on September 25. This year the Strictly pairings are expected to take place during the Launch Show on September 7, which is much earlier. While nothing's been confirmed it's likely announcements will be made very soon if the show follows a similar pattern to last year.
