Huddersfield Town duo Josh Austerfield and Jaheim Headley have both joined League Two side Harrogate Town on season-long loans for the season ahead. This will be Austerfield’s second spell with the North Yorkshire club after he spent the second half of last season there alongside fellow promising B-team midfielder Brahima Diarra. . Harrogate have watched him for a long period now and were very clear that he was an important target for them, which was good to hear. “Again, our positive relationship with Harrogate and the relative proximity were all factors. It’s also good that he will move alongside Josh, as that should help him settle in. We’re excited to see both players in action this coming season.” Austerfield and Headley, both 20, have each signed new deals at the John Smith’s Stadium over the past few months, with the midfielder committing until 2026 while the full-back is signed up until 2024. The pair are just the latest Town B-team players to head out on loan this summer, with defender Romoney Crichlow and striker Kian Harratt both joining Harrogate’s divisional rivals Bradford City in season-long moves.
