. "Lord Sugar is exactly the same as he comes across on the TV, so if you find him intimidating he is like that, if you don't then he isn't," Harpreet added. Her business Oh So Yum! First began in the White Rose Shopping Centre six years ago, closely followed by another venue in Huddersfield. Harpreet is now launching another shop in Bradford later this year. She said: "It made sense to set up the business in West Yorkshire, we set up our first in White Rose and then expanded in Huddersfield and Bradford is an amazing city. "It's the city of culture, there is a lot of competition here but I feel that Oh So Yum is bringing something new, it's a proud moment, someone from Yorkshire winning the apprentice, let's keep it within" Harpreet went on to talk about the challenges of being a woman in business, saying the landscape has totally changed since she first started six years ago. She said: "You're absolutely right, in terms of the dessert parlour industry, it was very male-dominated, me and my sister used to get comments saying "did your partner set this up?" No, it was me, I set it up, I am so happy that this narrative is changing. "I never thought in my head that because I am a woman I cannot do this, I wanna see a lot more females doing this, I am so happy to see other women taking this chance, I haven't experienced any negativity myself but the perception has changed, I am all about empowerment, it doesn't matter your gender or sexuality." The Bradford Oh So Yum! store will be launching sometime in September, with Harpreet and Lord Sugar expected to make an appearance.
