Three teenagers have been arrested by detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of Kyle Hackland, who tragically died on Tuesday (November 22). Two males are in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder, with a third male arrested on suspicion of assault, possession of an offensive weapon and affray. Police raced to the scene of the stabbing on Southlea Road in Withington, south Manchester on Tuesday morning.. Kyle, 17, was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries. A major murder investigation was launched by police, with officers remaining at the scene as enquiries continued into his death. One at North Manchester Station at 11am on Thursday, and the other at Cheadle Heath Police Station at around 2.30pm. Both are in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder. Another teenager was also arrested at an address in Wythenshawe at around 1pm, also on Thursday. He remains in custody for questioning after being arrested on suspicion of assault, possession of an offensive weapon, and affray. GMP’s Major Incident Team have been conducting the investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident. Officers have also been patrolling the neighbouring area to reassure the community.
