PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A Twitter thread on a man whose abusive partner fell through a first-floor window to escape him has gone viral. Tweeting from Northamptonshire Police's official account, it started: "Can you imagine the level of fear it takes for someone to throw themselves out of a first-floor window? "But this is exactly was domestic abusers do to their victims - induce pure terror. It all started as a normal night out..." The thread explained that it was February 2019 and the pair were on their way to a local bar. "But the man took issue with what the woman was wearing, making her feel so uncomfortable that the evening was cut short," it continued. She made her way to the bathroom and locked the door. "He became angry once again and tried to break in. This put the woman in such fear of him that she climbed out of the first-floor window, falling onto the floor below. "As a result of the fall and the attack on her, the woman suffered a fractured vertebrae, a cut to the back of her head, bruising to her eye and a swollen lip. "The person who did this is Curtis Thomas Peachment, 28, of Bowen Square, Daventry. He will be sentenced on June 14, 2021." At Northampton Crown Court this week (May 10), Peachment pleaded guilty to harassment and was found guilty by a jury of false imprisonment. The thread described the "great investigation by DC Andrea Taylor who paid tribute to this woman outside court". "She has shown immense bravery and I am so proud of her for supporting our case throughout - she has waited a long time for this to get to court", DC Taylor said.
