PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Police have recovered what they suspect could be one of two vehicles at the centre of the latest shooting in Cheetham Hill. And they have revealed how a clash involving youths resulted in shots being fired. As reported in the Manchester Evening News,a gunman opened fire on a street after youths attacked two parked cars. The yobs attacked a VW Golf and a BMW on New Mill Walk on Good Friday. As they did, a gunman got out of the BMW and shots were fired. Police have now confirmed a BMW has been found. Tests and enquiries are ongoing to establish if is the same vehicle from which the shooter stepped. They have also disclosed that the gang which attacked the cars at about 6.10pm did so with bricks, wooden poles and a machete. Detectives have also recovered CCTV of the incident and the aftermath, when the two vehicles sped off. Images from the scene appeared to show a bullet casing beside an evidence marker. At this stage, detectives say it is not thought the incident is linked to a feud between two crime gangs from Cheetham Hill which resulted in the launching of Operation Haemus in 2019. "We currently have additional officers patrolling the area whilst our investigation continues. Just before 4pm, police received numerous calls from the public reporting up to 30 males fighting on Bury New Road. Witnesses said some were armed with bats and other weapons. Police turned out in force, but those involved had dispersed before they arrived. A search of the area failed to locate any suspects or weapons. In a second incident, at about 10.20pm, police received a report of around nine were fighting on Broomfield Drive. One was said to be armed with a gun. There was no evidence to suggest the firearm was discharged and no injured persons were found. No arrests have been made in relation to those two incidents.
