Mohamud left Wigan hospital - The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary - at around 8pm on Monday (August 1). He did not return to work for his shift the next day, police said. Officers believe he caught the 10.27am train from Wigan station to Glasgow that morning. Mohamud was last seen wearing a grey, zipped hooded jacket, a bright blue scrubs-style t-shirt, dark blue baggy trousers and black trainers. He is between 5ft 7in and 6ft tall and is of slim build with broad shoulders.
