Officers confirmed to the Daily Record that his disappearance at the time was also linked to a major incident in Bridge of Weir where a car plunged into the River Gryfe. Fire crews, paramedics and a police dog unit were called to water near Hattrick Farm, Bridge of Weir, at 10.22am today. The death is not being treated as suspicious but enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the circumstances of his death. A statement from Police Scotland read: "Police Scotland can confirm that around 2.40pm on February, 23 February, the body of a man was recovered in woods near Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire.
