The Coral Scottish Grand National was last run in 2019, owing to last year’s race being called-off due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, the winner on that occasion was Nicky Richards’ trained Takingrisks, who will go for glory once again this year having recently won a Listed Chase at Doncaster. So, when does the action start, who should your money be on and where can you watch it? Here's a list of everything you need to know... When is the race? The two-day event kicks-off on Friday, April 16, at Ayr Racecourse but the main event, the Scottish Grand National takes place on Saturday April 17, with the prize fund for Scotland’s premier jumps race a whopping £150,000.
