And there is more snow set to hit the far north of the country over Tuesday morning, according to the Met Office. Forecasters anticipate around 2cm of snow to land in most parts, with larger accumulations expected on the hills and mountains. A yellow weather warning is in force for the Highlands, Aberdeenshire and Orkney and Shetland from midnight tonight to 10am on Tuesday.
