PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be attending the inaugural Cambridgeshire County Day this year. Announced on Twitter by Julie Spence OBE, the Lord Lieutenant and Her Majesty The Queen’s representative in the area, the event is set to celebrate all things Cambridgeshire. The event will take place on June 23 at the July Course, Newmarket, with tickets available for free here. It will commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s historic Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service on the throne. Money will also be raised for charity across the course of the day’s offerings. Those attending will be met with a variety of marquees and performances in what is set to be a feel-good event. Cambridgeshire County Day was launched to simultaneously celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, showcase the very best of Cambridgeshire and raise money for charity. It will take place on Thursday, June 23 from 9.30am to 4pm. More than 6,000 attendees are expected, including Prince William and Kate Middleton.

In total, 100 marquees are set to be seen, hosting 120 different organisations, alongside performances from bands, choirs, actors and dancers. Those visiting will also see leading small and large businesses which are delivering innovations in areas such as medicine and science. A full day’s racing at Newmarket and a jubilee garden party can also be expected, as well as numerous displays including tractors, bikes, boats, military vehicles and a helicopter. Newmarket Racecourse donated the space to host this unique event. Why are Prince William and Kate Middleton visiting? The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Cambridgeshire County Day as part of a whole day of celebrating the region. The royal duo will stop by on their route through the county. During their visit, they will champion the work of key charitable organisations in the area. Engagements will be linked to their longstanding work and interests, in particular, homelessness and supporting families.
