PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Paulo Fonseca has been offered the chance to take the reins at Celtic next season, according to Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast. Roma announced on Tuesday that Fonseca will leave the club at the end of the season to be replaced by Jose Mourinho in the summer. That comes after Roma all-but crashed out of the Europa League following a 6-2 defeat to Manchester United in the semi-final first leg. It means Fonseca, who has previously managed Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk among others, is on the lookout for a new club. Back in April, when it was being reported that Maurizio Sarri was the favourite to take over at Roma, he reported that Mourinho would get the job. That flew under the radar at the time but it has since come to pass and it lends weight to his most recent claim - that Fonseca could be arriving at Parkhead in the near future. He's enjoyed mixed success in the Italian capital but he took them to the Europa League semi-finals this season after finishing 5th in Serie A last term. Fonseca's Roma managed to score 77 goals - more than champions Juventus - but have disappointed this time out and face a fight to qualify for Europe next season.
