Covid jabs firm Moderna is opening the first ever factory making mRNA vaccines in the UK, the Government has announced.The company will make the next generation of coronavirus jabs, protecting against multiple variants, as well as new vaccines against illnesses such as flu.Health Secretary Sajid Javid has been negotiating with the US-based firm for months to ensure that Britain would for the first time gain access to home-grown mRNA technology which could one day be used to treat cancer and heart disease.
