Aaron Souttar, who had motor neurone disease, passed away on Sunday, July 17. John paid tribute to his "brother, hero and best mate" after his family revealed the news of his passing on social media. His sister Alisa Shand said on Facebook: "On Sunday 17th July, our beautiful Aaron passed away, after a long illness, aged 42. A beloved partner of Paula, adored and proud dad of Hamish, deeply loved son of Jack and Caroline, step-son of Heather and Mark, loved brother of Ailsa, John, Harry and Mhiran."
