PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told people to be "realistic" about going abroad for holidays after a "surge" of cases at popular tourist destinations and another lockdown in France. At the Downing Street press conference on Monday afternoon (April 5) the Prime Minister said he wished he could provide more information but insisted there was not enough “solid data” on the virus. Now a Downing Street report on easing coronavirus restrictions has confirmed that a traffic light system for international travel will soon be introduced. The report stated it is not known when trips could resume, and advised consumers not to make bookings yet, reports Berkshirelive. Heathrow Airport chief executive John Holland-Kaye claimed “the opportunity has been missed to provide more certainty ”, while trade body the Business Travel Association described the update as “beyond disappointing”. The Government’s Global Travel Taskforce will provide a report later this week on how international leisure travel can resume. Under England’s road map for easing pandemic rules, the earliest that foreign holidays could be permitted is May 17.
