PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Health bosses have urged those living in Glasgow and the surrounding area to get a covid test following the rise in cases. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are urging residents to get tested to determine how prevalent the virus is in the area. Glasgow has now overtaken Moray as Scotland's Covid hotspot, and an epidemiologist warned the country is seeing a "loss of control" of the pandemic in some areas. Latest figures published on Friday showed there were 80.4 cases per 100,000 people in Glasgow in the seven days to May 11, pushing it ahead of Moray where there were 68.9. Nicola Sturgeon confirmed today that both areas will remain under Level 3 restrictions while the rest of the Scottish mainland has been given the go ahead to move to Level 2 on Monday.

People who do not have family or community support can also call the National Assistance Helpline on 0800 111 4000, or contact via textphone on 0800 111 4114. “We are actively pursuing ways to ensure vaccination uptake is as high as possible in the areas with the largest increases of cases. This will include encouraging and supporting people who previously opted not to receive their vaccination to arrange an appointment. We will be contacting these individuals directly and offering them appointments in the coming weeks.
