“It has affected my mental health. I just get so fed up sometimes and feel like it is just never going to happen. “My husband has been so supportive and has seen me breaking down in tears over it.” After losing weight, Kelly noticed that excess skin drooped down, which caused more aches and sores. Exercising is painful because of her heavy breasts and Kelly said she feels self-conscious when training. She added: “When I went to the gym, I’d make sure I only went to classes that were women only and I’d cover up because I didn’t feel comfortable.

“A lot of women feel like they shouldn’t speak out, you get a lot of comments from people saying they’d love to have breasts that size. “But it’s not about how you look, I want to be free from pain and from having to wear a bra all the time. “I have to wear a bra in bed and it can dig in and cause sores. I know there are women with bigger boobs than me and I feel so sorry for them, they must be in constant agony.” Kelly, who hopes to have her breasts reduced to a size 34 DD - six sizes down from what she is now - previously considered flying to Poland for surgery. But she felt that carried too much of a risk and instead is now looking at private surgery in the UK. She launched a crowdfunding page on Friday and already generous strangers have swelled the coffers to almost £10,000.

She added: “I feel like (the CCG) are waiting for people to be on the verge of a mental health breakdown before they do anything. “I’m having to go private because it’s the last thing I can do unless something changes. “When I started it, I was just desperate to pay for my own treatment, but after seeing how many women are also going through the same thing, I hope I can help some others out with covering the costs of their surgery.”
