PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! "Glenavon held on to win this Mid-Ulster derby and spoil Dixie Robinson’s return to the dugout. Goals from Conor McCloskey and Matthew Fitzpatrick put them in control at Stangmore Park. But, in a game that saw both sides finish with 10 men, a late strike from Oisin Smyth made for a nervous finale.Ultimately it came too late as the away side made it four unbeaten, meaning a miserable first game back for Robinson, who has been placed in charge until the end of the season following the departure of Kris Lindsay.McCloskey was the standout player in the opening stages, causing problems each time he cut in from the right, and fired Glenavon in front in the 19th minute. It started when Peter Campbell collected a throw from James Singleton but he soon found his route to goal blocked. Spotting the run of McCloskey to his right, he squared to the winger, who took a touch before slamming the ball high into the net. Moments later McCloskey pulled a dangerous ball across the box, but Fitzpatrick and Daniel Purkis arrived just too late. The second goal came in the 24th minute — and again owed much to McCloskey. He picked the ball up inside his own half and set off on a run which took him past five players.
