PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! "The Belfast Giants have continued their recruitment for the 2022/23 season with the return of three more players to the roster as Mark Cooper, Andrew Dickson and Mark Garside have signed up for the new campaign. The trio are the latest players to sign up for their Elite League and Challenge Cup title defences, with Cooper returning for a second season in teal, Dickson his 11th and Garside his 12th.All three are fan favourites among the Giants supporters and will all play key roles in their bid to regain the titles they won last season, as well as leading the team into Europe in the Champions Hockey League in September.Getting Toronto native Cooper back is a particular coup given his exploits last season, the 30-year-old forming a strong partnership on the second line with Ben Lake and Slater Doggett and scoring a career-high 33 goals and 74 points in 69 games.The winger was an alternate captain last season and came up with some big moments on the ice, including providing the assist for Lake’s game-winner in the Challenge Cup final against the Cardiff Devils and a dramatic equalising goal with just 0.4 seconds remaining away in Nottingham in a vital 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers in their league success.Cooper brings plenty of experience having played for several years in the AHL and ECHL in North America, and his style of play makes him one of the top forwards in the Elite League.Bringing Garside back is a significant boost, too, with the Scottish defenceman extending his association with the club that started all the way back in 2010 when he joined the team as a 21-year-old.The 33-year-old is one of the most reliable blue-liners in the Elite League, while he is also capable of playing centre, and is coming off a season where he formed an excellent partnership with Jeff Baum, while he also posted one goal and 19 points.Garside has now won ten trophies in teal and returns as one of the more experienced members of the roster as they go in search of more this season.

.Hailed by players throughout the years as a fantastic team-mate within the locker room, as well as playing a key role in helping players out during practice, the 34-year-old will once again be relied upon by head coach Adam Keefe in the new season.“We’re excited to welcome Dicko, Garside and Coops back for another season,” commented Keefe."In this group we have a rare blend of character, experience, commitment and determination to get the job done. All three of these players made a big impact, in the dressing room, on the ice and with our fanbase and were integral to our success last season."They know what it takes to win in Belfast and share our hunger to defend and chase more trophies.”The trio join Ciaran Long, Ben Lake and Jeff Baum on the roster for next season, while the Giants already know that Cam Knight, J.J. Piccinich and Jordan Boucher will be moving on after announcing their departures or retirements." ,"isAccessibleForFree": "True" }
