Ben Callaghan of the Conservatives was third with 2812 votes, ahead of Stephen Arrundale of the Liberal Democrats with 220. Neil Manson of the SDP earned 151 votes, while Jonathan Stanley of the Scottish Unionists had 59, Martyn Greene of Reform UK 45 votes and Donald MacKay of UKIP 39. The result was declared at 1am at Ravenscraig sports centre after a day of voting at 35 venues across the Airdrie & Shotts constituency.
