UK Jack Grealish revelation gives Man City clear transfer advantage over Man United last minute news
PremierLeague-News.Com- Aston Villa's talismanic skipper has been the subject of much speculation about his future and has been linked with a huge move to Manchester this summer
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Jack Grealish will have no shortage of suitors if he decides to leave Aston Villa this summer having become one of the most exciting and naturally gifted footballers this country has produced since Paul Gascoigne. His future has dominated the back pages in recent months despite the fact Villa have reportedly set his transfer fee in excess of £100million. Manchester United have been consistently linked with a move for the playmaker amid talk that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him to prowl in his midfield at Old Trafford. But it would seem there is a growing fan club involving their neighbours that has put Manchester City firmly in the driving seat in the race to sign English football’s hottest properties. Grealish has made no secret of his admiration for Kevin De Bruyne’s qualities as a player and this week took to Twitter to marvel once again about the Belgian’s remarkable gifts. Having watched him produce another masterclass in the Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund, Grealish posted: “De Bruyne’s final ball every single time is unbelievable.” Those remarks came just months after he conducted an interview with UMM on YouTube in which he showered with him with yet more verbal confetti. Ahead of Belgium’s win over England last year, De Bruyne spoke fondly of Grealish’s abilities. “I rate him very highly,” he said. “He’s somebody I mentioned before, talking to the teammates at City, in a random conversation.

. He deserves a shot.” The fact that De Bruyne has been talking to his City teammates about Grealish’s qualities does not just stop there, however. And it begs the inevitable question as to whether De Bruyne will have an influence should City decide to add to their incredible array of superstars this summer.

The answer could be yes after reports emerged last November claiming that Pep Guardiola had put Grealish at the top of his wanted list ahead of the likes of Spurs striker Harry Kane and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. And the man that Guardiola had taken advice from in respect of Villa’s talisman was none other than De Bruyne. There is of course the small matter of the transfer fee but given City’s vast wealth they are one of a select few who can afford it. And if they were to write the cheque, Grealish would become the most expensive British player in transfer history, eclipsing the £89m Real Madrid paid to Spurs for Gareth Bale in 2013.

It will be fascinating to see how the story unfolds given Grealish has claret and blue coursing through his veins and a decision to leave his boyhood club will be an extremely tough one to make. We saw how difficult it was for Steven Gerrard to quit Liverpool for Chelsea and that emotional bond can sometimes be unbreakable despite the riches that are on offer. But it would seem the mutual respect between Grealish and De Bruyne has given us a clear hint that both players would love to be careering through defences together one day. And while the bookmakers have United as favourites to sign Grealish, City appear to be firmly in the box seat when it comes to pursuing a truly wonderful talent.
