PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! An injured man was rescued from a river on the outskirts of Manchester city centre this evening (Monday). Emergency services were scrambled to the stretch of the River Medlock off Pin Mill Brow at around 6pm. A man had fallen into the water and suffered back injuries meaning he was unable to get out. Police, paramedics and fire crews were all pictured at the scene close to where the road becomes Great Ancoats Street. The man, who was sat in the water when crews arrived, was taken to safety before being assessed by paramedics. It is unclear if he was taken to hospital.
