PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! The family of a Stockport man killed in a suspected hit and run in North Wales have told of their 'devastating loss'. Dad-of-one Stuart Farnell, 38, originally from Offerton, died in the incident on the A5025 in Anglesey on Friday night. Police received calls from members of the public shortly after 11pm reporting that a man was unresponsive by the roadside. Despite the best efforts of passers-by who stopped to assist, Mr Farnell was pronounced dead at the scene. A man has been arrested in connection with his death. In a statement released by North Wales Police Mr Farnell's family said: "Stuart was a much loved father, son and brother. "His loss is devastating and has caused wounds that won't heal. To lose a loved one in such a way is an indescribable pain. "His daughter Payton has lost her best friend, the best dad in the world. Stuart was her number one and she was his. "We loved him so much and miss him with all of our heart." Friends and family have also been paying tribute to Stuart, who worked as a joiner.

"He was a loving dad and we are all just in shock." Det Chief Insp Brian Kearney, from North Wales Police,said: "Following our appeal on Saturday, a local person has contacted police that afternoon. "He was subsequently arrested and a vehicle seized in connection with this ongoing investigation. "I would be grateful if anyone who was travelling along the A5025 between Valley and Llanynghenedl between 8.30pm and 10pm on Friday, February 19, would contact the police on 101, quoting incident number Z023761."
