PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! If you were to ask who Bolton Wanderers' player of the season was then Ricardo Almeida Santos would be one of the strong contenders. Recruited last summer after leaving Barnet, the 25-year-old initially penned a two-year deal at the University of Bolton Stadium. He went on to become an ever-present in the Wanderers backline, both in a back three and also a back four when Wanderers reverted to the latter around the turn of the year. The season climaxed last weekend when the Whites booked their place back in League One next season with a scintillating 4-1 win on the road against Crawley Town as they sealed automatic promotion. And with his appearance last weekend, Santos completed a rare achievement which not many other players in the Championship, League One and League Two managed this campaign.

. He is one of six players in League Two to complete the feat, which included Tranmere Rovers' Peter Clarke, Cheltenham Town defender Ben Tozer, Port Vale goalkeeper Scott Brown, Salford City stopper Vaclav Hladky and Leyton Orient goalie Lawrence Vigouroux. In League One, this would done by four players - Ben Amos at Charlton Athletic, Alex Palmer at Lincoln City, Craig MacGillivray at Portsmouth and Oxford United defender Elliott Moore. And in the Championship, just QPR defender Yoan Barbet and Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Białkowski were the only two players to manage to get every minute under their belts this season. Santos regularly made the League Two team of the week this campaign, was voted the division's player of the month for February and earned a contract extension for an extra 12 months which has tied his future to Wanderers until the summer of 2023.
