PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! England Knights will participate in the newly-announced 2023 European Championships, not Shaun Wane's senior side. European Rugby League confirmed on Tuesday that an eight-team Euro A tournament would take place next year, forming a major part of qualification for the 2025 Rugby League World Cup. England were named as one of the eight nations alongside France, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Italy, Serbia and Spain. However, Rugby League Live has been told it will not be the senior side who play in the tournament. Instead, Paul Anderson's Knights group are the England side who will participate in that event, with it seen as an ideal opportunity for England's young and emerging talent to hone their skills in the run-up to the 2025 World Cup. The senior side have no reason to play in the event, given how they have already qualified for 2025.

The Rugby Football League are in detailed discussions about a thorough and complete calendar for the national side between now and 2025.
