PremierLeague-News.Com - Passengers face three days of misery starting tomorrow as train staff walkout
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Three days of strikes will take place after talks involving railway workers failed to find a resolution. The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union said that last-ditch efforts had not worked out. Members of the union will walkout tomorrow (June 21) before further strikes are staged on Thursday and Saturday. They are taking place as part of a dispute over pay. Tomorrow's strikes will also fall on the same day as industrial action involving London Underground workers in a separate dispute. The resulting strikes are set to cause the biggest disruption to rail passengers for more than 30 years.

. Some services will still be running on the strike days, but the timetables will be limited with lots of stations closing during the action. Mike Lynch, the RMT's general secretary, said: “The RMT National Executive Committee has now found both sets of proposals to be unacceptable and it is now confirmed that the strike action scheduled this week will go ahead. It is clear that the Tory Government, after slashing £4bn of funding from National Rail and Transport for London, has now actively prevented a settlement to this dispute. “The rail companies have now proposed pay rates that are massively under the relevant rates of inflation, coming on top of the pay freezes of the past few years. At the behest of the Government, companies are also seeking to implement thousands of job cuts and have failed to give any guarantee against compulsory redundancies.” READ NEXT: Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen breaks silence for first time since split from Clive Allana, 23, was living in council flat before she fell for millionaire Jeff, 56 Giant Hogweed map shows where toxic plant is growing in Yorkshire
