Nutt, 45, has admitted killing his wife and 52-year-old grandmother Dawn Walker by pleading guilty to manslaughter - but he denies murder. It is said Nutt killed Dawn between October 27 - their wedding day - and October 31 last year. Nutt, of Shirley Grove, Lightcliffe, is accused of murdering his wife shortly after the couple got married. Her body was found in a suitcase on playing fields near their home in October last year. In circumstances beyond our control, you were taken from us so suddenly." A friend described Dawn as: "The soundest person you could meet." He added: "She was friendly and generous.

." Earlier this week, jurors heard from Dr Kirstin Hope, a pathologist who carried out the post-mortem examination on Dawn's body. Dr Hope told the court she was presented with Dawn's body in the suitcase and said she had suffered bruising and fractured ribs among other injuries prior to her death. She also said she had been told about a conversation Nutt had had where he detailed putting Dawn's body in a kitchen cupboard before disposing of it in the suitcase. Read the full story here.
