PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! How would you assess your team's performance? It was a really tough game. I said to the boys that everyone would be needed today. I knew with the conditions I would be making five changes. We had to dig in today. We had to really fight and earn that win. Why do you think you struggled in the first half? They have got wonderful rotation on the left and right hand side of the pitch. We struggled to get to grips with the timing of the rotations. They were getting us going high, going deep...a different face. We couldn't get to grips with it. We didn't seem to have that energy today. We got in at half-time and I said we needed 20 to 30 per cent more energy. We made three changes straight away. I spoke about the subs giving us energy and certainly with Tyreeq, George and Greggers coming on gave us that impetuous. That is nothing against the boys who came off as they were part of the win. We made a couple more later in the game when one or two were flagging to get us over the line. Today was a classic game where we had to find and go get a win. The squad got the win today. What were your thoughts on the goal? I was pleased with the winning goal. It was a great ball in from Josh. I am so pleased for Tyreeq to get in on the end of the cross. I thought he brought some energy in there. We are getting him to where he needs to be. He is not fully there yet in terms of his match fitness but he is getting there. How far away are you from knowing your best team? I know what I want the team to look like and we are edging towards there with the calibre of players we have brought in. We are different this season from where we were last season. Midfield players were scoring last season and it is great to see them scoring at the start of this season. It has been a solid start but we have got to keep getting better. We dug in and earned the three points.

. With our home record, teams know mentally they are going to have to perform in front of this big crowd. The onus was on us to win the game today. We had a couple of scares in terms of not applying ourselves right. We rode this and asked questions at the other end. The goal came at the right of the time and it seemed to knock the stuffing out of them. It gave us the impetus and something to hold on to. Are you going to have to play out better from the back? The energy just wasn't there. They shut down angles and they jumped together. It is something for us to look at when teams come here and do that. The more the game wore on, they got tired in the second half and spaces started to appear. It became an end to end game. We made the changes in the second half and jumped on them more after the changes. It was definitely the changes that got us over the line. How pleased are you with the team's start to the season? When I look at all three games, we have come away with seven points. We all know here we can be better. We will continue to strive and work towards that. We move on to the next game on Tuesday night. It will be another tough one. Why did Dennis Adeniran not feature today? We had to leave Dennis out because he came back in the week and played the game and had to be managed. He’ll be back in Monday, ready to go and ready to train. He had an exceptional game in the week, him and Tyreeq, but we had to manage him rather than taking any risks. It was the same with Lee Gregory. We managed him. Even at this stage of the season we’re managing players to get them physical fit and make sure they’re robust to deal with the games. With the decision that we made, and the treatment they’ve had, they’ll be back and ready to train on Monday and be part of the squad for the two games next week. Do you foresee that Lee Gregory will be ready to start on Tuesday? We didn't want him to play the full game today. We were thinking half an hour for him after he came on Wednesday. We didn't want to take a risk. The last thing we need to do is do anything silly at this stage of the season. It was the right decision in terms of doing that and was great to see us get the three points, having made the decisions we did to move and rotate the squad around.
