PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! What did you make of the performance? I was pleased to get the three points. It is not an easy place to come and get it but I thought we set our stall our very early and managed to maintain it. The goal came from the penalty spot; it was a penalty. It was good to see Josh step up and put it away. In the second half, we dropped back and allowed them a little bit of possession and territory. I said to the boys 'when you do that, it invites pressure on.' It was great to see David Stockdale pull off the saves. He pulled off a finger tip save for the one on one. The other two were from long distance and his positional sense was good. We stayed in the mid to deep block in the second half and I said to the boys it does invite pressure on but I am pleased they saw the game out. They did their jobs. We got the clean sheet and the three points which is what we wanted to do and we move on to Wednesday. How pleased were you with David Stockdale's contribution? When you look at some of the shots they had, they were straight at him but that's because his positional sense was good. The most pleasing one for me was the one that went clean through. Even though the boy was under a bit of pressure from Ben [Heneghan], he still got his shot off. I am really pleased for him to get a clean sheet. The clean sheet will do him wonders. He will take a lot of confidence from it. What was the key to getting the win today? We knew they would have a lot of the ball because they work on that. They almost want you get a little impatient and come out of your shape. When you come out of your shape, that's when you are at their peril. The gain a lot of territory at the back and use the goalkeeper really well to create the extra man. When you go jumping, that's when they pick you off. It was about us staying disciplined and staying in our shape. When we won the ball back, we could have done even better with some of the chances we had. The times when we did get caught was when we jumped; we showed a bit of eagerness and they picked us off. We defended well. A lot of teams will come here and not see a lot of the ball. When you get hold of the ball, it is what you do with it. I thought we showed our power today. They struggled in the first half to deal with it, which was credit to the boys. They grew into it more in the second half. How is Akin Famewo doing? We are going to assess him on Monday.

. He said to me that it happened when he went to kick the ball. He felt it in his leg. Usually with that, physios like to give it 48 hours. By Monday, we will know exactly the extent of it. Can you believe your luck on the injury front? Akin's injury looks a lot more serious than Smudge's injury. He was having a great game. You have seen a glimpse of what he [Famewo] can bring us. He has got wonderful athleticism. He has got good size and a lovely left foot on him. I want to work with him. There is a lot more to come from him. For him to sustain that injury is a bit disappointing for us. Hopefully the injury is not as bad as first feared but we will wait and see. How important was it to get the win? It was good to get the three points and the clean sheet. You want to get it as early as possible in the season. Every team wants to get off and running. You are always trying to find that rhythm. I think we were good in the opening 45 minutes. We did our jobs in the second half. We didn't let our concentration levels drop. We still want to find our rhythm. We want to get it over the course of the game. We have sent the travelling fans home happy. They will have a good weekend. They saw a hard-working team who at times played some good football. The most pleasing thing was off the ball. Any news on the transfer front? Not at the moment but we’ll wait and see. You've been linked with Swansea's Kyle Joseph. Is there anything in those reports? I can’t shed any light on that. We’ve been linked with all sorts of players, it’s not just him, it’s been all sorts. Some of the players we’ve been linked with, it is what it is. I can’t stop that really.
