PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A popular brewery is testing out a new type of bottle for its beer which will be entirely recyclable - and as an added bonus, could keep the drink colder for a longer period. Carlsberg has announced it will be trialling the fibre bottle in eight markets, including the UK. In total, the company will produce 8,000 of the bottles which are made from a wood-based fibre shell and have a plant-based Polyethylene Furanoate (PEF) polymer lining. Carlsberg says the materials can be recycled, retain the beer's “taste and fizziness” and could keep the booze colder for longer compared to its glass counterpart. The product has been called a “great achievement” by brewery bosses, who are working with partners Avantium, who developed the polymer lining, and packaging firm Paboco, who produced the bottle's outer shell. Carlsberg has said it will be working with these firms to create developments in packaging.

.” Mr Munch added that the bottle is “100% bio-based apart from the cap, which is currently needed to ensure the quality of the product”. However, there are plans for an updated Fibre Bottle 3.0. Carlsberg's latest project precedes the global launch of the company's ESG programme - Together Towards Zero and Beyond. It is aiming to reach zero carbon emissions and a 30% drop in its “full-value-chain carbon footprint” by 2030.
