PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is amazed at the bad luck his side have suffered this season in terms of injuries. Admittedly United have let their standards slip from last season. They have gone from finishing in the top half of the Premier League and being in contention for Europe, to looking like they are destined to finish rock-bottom. Unquestionably though, injuries have taken their toll. And not just long-term injuries to the likes of Jack O'Connell and Sander Berge. Almost every member of the squad has suffered with some kind of knock, niggle or strain this season. In the aftermath of Saturday's reverse to Fulham - a result which effectively scrubbed out any lingering hope of a survival mission - Wilder referenced the rotten luck his side have had on the injury front. "I think there are only two or three players who haven't had injuries this season, which is just incredible. "We've conditioned the players in a manner over two or three years where they are tough, hardened and don't really pick up soft tissue injuries." Here, we look at all the injuries sustained by members of the senior squad this term. Goalkeepers Aaron Ramsdale - No injuries reported. Wes Foderingham - Had a slight hand issue around October that caused him to miss a clutch of games. His only appearance this term has been in a League Cup tie last September. Simon Moore - The long-serving stopper suffered a nasty-looking hand injury that required surgery last summer. He's not been in a single matchday squad all season. Defenders George Baldock - The wing-back missed four games in January after a slight knock. He then suffered a hamstring strain against West Brom which caused him to miss the next three. He returned last time out, starting against Fulham. George Baldock receiving treatment during the game against West Brom in February. Enda Stevens - Irish international missed three games in late November-early December after picking up a knee injury. He was on the sidelines for roughly a month. A calf issue sustained in an FA Cup tie then saw him sit out a further five games before returning against West Ham recently. Kean Bryan - For so long Bryan seemed to be the forgotten man at Bramall Lane. But the sheer amount of injuries saw him handed a rare start in a game against West Brom last November. His progress was halted after picking up a calf injury that saw him miss four matches, but he's back to full fitness now. Jack O'Connell - The centre-half's absence has arguably been one of the key reasons why United have struggled this term. He played the opening two league games but has been out ever since, after undergoing knee surgery. He is, thankfully, back in training and the Blades are cautiously optimistic that he'll be able to get some game time before the season is out. Chris Basham - The "fittest kid in the club by a million miles" according to Chris Wilder. Basham has been an ever-present this term, but suffered a hamstring strain against Fulham which means he could miss his first game all season when Liverpool visit Bramall Lane on Sunday. John Egan - Like Basham, Egan is a regular at the heart of United's defence. But he too is on the sidelines after sustaining a dislocated toe against West Ham. Wilder said it will rule the Irishman out for eight weeks. Max Lowe - Suffered concussion back in October following a draw against Fulham. It caused him to sit out just one game. Phil Jagielka - The veteran defender sat out two games over Christmas and New Year, believed to be due to Covid issues. Jack Robinson - He limped off against Burnley in late December and hasn't been since, missing 12 games.

Sander Berge has been a big miss. Oliver Norwood - no injuries reported. Ben Osborn - Missed five games early in 2021 after sustaining a knock. Returned to the side against West Ham. Latest blow came just last night when the Frenchman departed an under-23s game after 28 minutes with what looked like an ankle injury. Has featured just seven times all season. Lys Mousset.
