Danny Goodier, one of the group's founders, with the donations from Tesco Middleton Cold Hands Warm Heart – a Middleton homelessness organisation – has received a generous donation of goods from the town’s Tesco store. Jamie Lilley, 32, and Daniel Goodier, 30, both of Middleton, set up Cold Hands Warm Hearts in the middle of winter, after hearing about the tragic death of a 25-year-old man who died when sleeping rough in Manchester city centre.   Read more: Middleton men start new initiative to help homeless with ambition of becoming registered charityPublished: 22 March 2021 The organisation aims to make sure no rough sleepers or homeless in Manchester go hungry or without the essentials, and is in the process of becoming a registered charity. The local Tesco store donated around £150 worth of goods including food, water and toiletries to the cause on 6 May, whilst Middleton Eats donated a carful of sleeping bags on Tuesday 11 May. Jamie said: “They say charity starts at home and it sure does with this generous donation from the Middleton Tesco, thanks to Carol Hibbert.
