PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Revd Kirsty Screeton with some of the Easter egg pictures Churches throughout Heywood are partnering with local schools and nurseries to present a special ‘out-of-lockdown’ Easter Egg Hunt. Local children are busy making 19 decorative Easter Egg pictures that will be on display across the town. Revd Sally Robinson, from St George’s, St James’ and St Margaret’s churches, said: “We really hope this is going to bring a smile back to people’s faces. Christians believe Easter is a celebration, all about hope and new life. “This past year hasn’t been much fun for anyone. Many people in Heywood have been through a lot, and some are still living with hard problems or losing loved ones. When you’re up against it like that, anybody can start feeling hopeless. “Christians believe when God brought Jesus back to life after he’d died that first Easter, it brought joy and hope back into life, and showed there’s no problem too big for God to help with.

. For children and their families to find, there’s a small prize for anyone who finds six or more of the eggs. Churches Together in Heywood have been involved in activities in the town for many years, but it’s the first time they have organised something like this for Easter. Revd Kirsty Screeton, from St John’s and St Luke’s churches, said: “Local people have really backed this, and that’s brilliant. In just a few hours after Sally put it on the Heywood Facebook page, we had more than enough offers to display the eggs, and almost all the schools and nurseries are involved making them. “We’re hoping there are going to be lots more things the churches in Heywood can do with local people to help bring our town back to life after lockdown.” You can find out more about the Easter Egg Hunt on the Churches Together in Heywood: www.facebook.com/ChurchesTogetherHeywood/
