PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! As one of European football's hottest young prospects, RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko has been linked with a variety of clubs, with Chelsea the latest to show interest. Despite being a target of Manchester United, the Blues might have flown under the radar as a potential buyer after United suddenly faced complications with the deal. Chelsea's difficult transfer window looks to have improved recently, with younger Gaga Slonina joining Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly at the Blues, whilst Aston Villa prodigy Carney Chukwuemeka looks set to sign. Now, the Blues could be ready to chase another sought-after youngster in Sesko if United continue to ponder on the move. It's believed that new owner Todd Boehly personally travelled to see Sesko's representatives for a meeting about acquiring the 19-year-old's talents recently. The striker scored the only goal in a pre-season victory over Liverpool, with the tall, powerful and speedy striker drawing links to ex-Salzburg forward Erling Haaland. READ MORE: Chelsea's talks for Marc Cucurella as Benjamin Sesko and Wesley Fofana 'targeted' If Sesko was to make his way to Stamford Bridge, how easily would his game translate to Thomas Tuchel's style? We simulated his first two seasons at the club and here's what we found. Sensational Sesko starts strong in debut Chelsea season Šeško's in-game attributes in Football Manager 22 (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) Sesko's in-game attributes show that although he's only 19, he could still be a world-class striker in the future. His Finishing (13), First Touch (13) and his raw athleticism (Pace - 14, Acceleration - 15, Jumping Reach - 16) are all of a great standard for a player of such a young age and will only get better as he continues to develop. Šeško's statistics over all competitions in Football Manager 22 (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) His 2022/23 stats were those that you'd expect to see from a 19-year-old adjusting to the Premier League. From 24 appearances in all competitions, he managed eight goals and two assists, including six in the Premier League before Christmas. He averaged a rating of 6.79, fourth among the attacking players of the squad, behind only Kai Havertz (7.45), Raheem Sterling (7.32) and Mason Mount (7.13). Chelsea finished fourth in Šeško's debut season, with just nine points between them and title winners Liverpool (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) Despite the Blues' pre-season woes, their league campaign went quite well. Despite slipping down to fourth, they improved on their previous season by five points. Finishing behind Liverpool, Man City and United, Tuchel's side scored 22 goals fewer despite Sesko's arrival, whilst they improved defensively, conceding just 28 goals, five fewer than 2021/22. Chelsea made their fourth FA Cup Final in a row and would lose their fourth Final in a row (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) Despite getting quite far in all three of their cup competitions, the Blues were unable to win any of them. A Carabao Cup quarter-final loss against Manchester City was their first misstep, followed by a 3-1 loss in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 game against Bayern Munich. Their furthest venture was in the FA Cup, but their final woes continued for the fourth consecutive year as they lost 2-0 to Liverpool after goals from Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota.

.86 rating, slightly better than his debut seasons with the Blues. Sesko was also ninth in Shots per 90 out of all attacking Premier League players, and sixth in Average Minutes per Goal with 153.1, ahead of the likes of Harry Kane (176.31), Mohamed Salah (169.29) and Marcus Rashford (156.11). Šeško's 2023/24 Premier League stats compared to Havertz and Sterling - the two players that started ahead of him most games (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) When comparing his Premier League stats to the two attackers starting ahead of him, you can see where one of the others lacks, he makes up for it. He ranks second in almost every statistic, apart from goals and assists which is to be expected since he played fewer games. The most impressive statistic not shown is his Conversion Rate % - the young Slovenian scored 10 goals from just 30 shots, marking him as the most accurate shooter of a ball in the League. Tuchel played his usual system for both seasons as the Best XI for Chelsea stayed the same (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) Full Chelsea Best XI (5-2-2-1): Mendy; Chilwell, Chalobah, Azpilicueta, Silva, James; Jorginho, Kante; Mount, Havertz; Sterling. Tuchel lined up in his usual formation with a wing-back setup, with Cesar Azpilicueta re-finding his best form and edging Koulibaly out of the best XI. Sesko didn't make the best XI ahead of Sterling in the striker role, though this was expected due to playing fewer games. Chelsea finished fourth again in the Premier League, only two points off third but were 19 points behind title winners Liverpool (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) The Blues' campaign was similar to their first season in this simulation as they finished fourth for the second consecutive season. Despite being further behind winners Liverpool, the Blues still secured Champions League football for another year and could go a few games further in the competition as Sesko continues to grow as a player. The Blues went trophyless again over the season, as they lost the Carabao Cup Final to United on penalties (Image: FM22, Sports Interactive) The cup competitions once again did not go Chelsea's way - a Carabao Cup Final loss against United wasn't the way to start, despite Sesko scoring the equaliser for the Blues in the 68th minute. It was a repeat of the previous season's final as they faced Liverpool in the Third Round of the FA Cup, but the result would be the same, a 3-1 loss knocking Chelsea out of the competition much earlier than fans would've liked. Their Champions League campaign went one stage further than the previous year as they topped their group before dispatching RB Leipzig in the Round of 16. Napoli was their opponent in the quarter-final stage, but following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, two penalties and an Andrea Petagna goal made sure the Blues exited the competition. Overall, Sesko is a young player with a lot of potential - it's clear he's fulfilling that potential under Tuchel within our simulation as he scored 22 goals in all competitions over his first two seasons in England. Despite Chelsea not winning a trophy in our sim, it shouldn't be expected of Sesko to deliver those single-handedly just yet, but he might in the future.
