PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! In a window that was supposed to be focused on strengthening the defence, Thomas Tuchel's Blues have been linked with more attackers than they could possibly have plans for. As it stands Chelsea have lost Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger this summer. They are also on course to lose Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta to Barcelona who have registered their interest in the duo. Losing four defenders in one window is a cause for concern, yet the Blues seem to have set their priority on a move for new forwards. Ousmane Dembele, Raheem Sterling, Raphinha, Richarlison and Ajax's Antony are just a few names linked with Chelsea in recent weeks. Lukaku is one foot out of the door with a return to Inter Milan in the works, but that still leaves a pretty packed attacking line for Thomas Tuchel to work with. The Blues still have six other attackers to strengthen in the upcoming season, so why is there a surge of urgency to sign a forward? It is worrying to say the least that an agreement for Jules Kounde still has not been met after all this time going back and forth with Sevilla. READ MORE: Where Chelsea stand on Raheem Sterling transfer amid key Ousmane Dembele and Richarlison updates football.london understands that at least two centre-half signings are on the agenda for Boehly this summer. Kounde being one of them as well as Kalidou Koulibaly, Josko Gvardiol and Mattejis de Ligt. In all transfer windows, patience is a virtue but a couple of weeks in, it seems as though the prioritise are headed in a direction that could cause a negative turn of events.

. They had signed, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner. In the end, it was difficult for rotational purposes as till this day, it is difficult to work out exactly what Chelsea's best line of attack is. In 2021, they'd crashed their transfer record with the £97 million signing of Lukaku without prioritising a midfielder or defender. It's safe to say, these decisions were far from balanced and have affected them negatively since. Having reliable attacking options would be a big step forward for Tuchel, however, there would be no point if they do not get their defenders over the line first. As well as two centre-back options, the Blues mustn't forget their fullback/wingback situation also. The departure of Alonso and Azpilicueta leaves them thin of options to run riot down the byline. Todd Boehly begins his era with the departure of Chelsea's negotiating mastermind, Marina Granovskaia. With this loss, he will be expected to go into this transfer window and make all the right calls. Allowing Lukaku's departure is one step in the right direction, but prioritising correctly will allow the fans to see if there really will be a change in the way Chelsea handle their business.
