PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Premier League supporters are set to return to stadiums in limited numbers before the end of the league season in May. Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed on Monday afternoon that fans can provisionally return from May 17 at the earliest, with the final round of Premier League fixtures due to take place on Sunday, May 23. As part of the plans to ease restrictions on the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic, up to 10,000 supporters or 25 per cent of capacity, whichever is smaller, would be allowed back inside stadiums. That means fans could be at the King Power Stadium on the final day of the campaign when Jose Mourinho's Tottenham side travel to Leicester City. The Lilywhites could still potentially be in Europa League action in May, yet the semi-finals are down to be played on Thursday, April 29 and Thursday, May 6. The news regarding the return of fans to stadiums also comes to soon for supporters to be in attendance for the Carabao Cup final between Spurs and Man City on Sunday, April 25. The final was originally pencilled in to be played on Sunday, February 28 but it was confirmed in December that it had been pushed back until April in the hope that more fans could be in attendance. As Spurs are not due to have any home games after May 17, fans will have to wait until the beginning of the 2021/22 season to finally return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. After making a statement to Parliament at 3:30pm, the Prime Minister will host a televised press conference at 7pm, explaining his plans to ease restrictions on the country.
