PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Rio Ferdinand thinks Chelsea will beat both Manchester United and Manchester City to the Premier League title next season. Since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard towards the end of January, the Blues have looked a frightening outfit at times. Tuchel 's start to life at Stamford Bridge means there is still a real possibility of securing an FA Cup and Champions League double in his first few months as Chelsea boss. The west London club are in pole position to land a top four spot as well - but Tuchel will be hoping for much more in the league next season. Manchester United are the closest team to their city neighbours, but are still 13 points adrift, with Pep Guardiola's team agonisingly close to achieving their third top-flight triumph in four seasons. "Have you seen Chelsea’s stats? They’re my team to win the league next year," Ferdinand said on his Vibe with Five podcast. "Since Tuchel’s come they’re top of almost every category: goals conceded, chances created. "They are seriously, this team what he’s done going in there deserves nothing but applause." Many were tipping Chelsea to challenge for the league title this season after over £200million was spent on recruitments last summer. However, Lampard's team, despite their strong start, struggled to find a strong consistency level and the former Blues midfielder was then relieved of his duties. Tuchel's side take on Real Madrid on Wednesday evening in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final, with the score finely balanced at 1-1.
