PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Mikel Arteta believes new £45million signing Gabriel Jesus puts fear into opposition defenders with his play after an impressive debut for Arsenal. The Brazilian striker had a brilliant pre-season after arriving from Manchester City, reuniting with Arteta at the Emirates Stadium, scoring a hat-trick last weekend against Sevilla. Jesus looked lively in his official debut for the Gunners, causing issues for Crystal Palace's defence throughout the game as Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners at Selhurst Park. Arsenal got off to the perfect start in the Premier League after an opening goal from Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners ahead in the first half, before Marc Guehi's own goal sealed the three points for the away side. Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko had an instant impact in Mikel Arteta's side, with the latter grabbing an assist for the first goal. The Spaniard said: "The fear factor, he’s always on your shoulder, the 50-50 balls, he’s got the capability to take the ball off you but he never stands still. "He’s always ready to act, he’s so sharp. For defenders, it’s difficult to play against him." Arteta wasn't alone in praising the Brazilian striker for his performance against Palace, with both Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville lauding Jesus for his performance and continuous attacking threat. Carragher said: "He [Jesus] was just so sharp.

. When I’m watching a striker on top of his game I’m thinking I’m so glad I’m not playing against him. "That was my feeling in that first half, the times he went past players, he was sensational. He actually looked like a Manchester City player playing for Arsenal. He was doing enough at Manchester City but he looked a cut above in the first half." Neville followed up on Carragher's praise and added: "He [Jesus] didn’t always play but I never saw him as someone who lacked confidence, maybe he didn’t develop as much, but I thought he was a fantastic player. He hunts them [opposition teams] down, it's a big signing for Arsenal. Keep him fit and they’re in with a big chance [of top four], but they have to keep him fit." Arsenal look as though they have found the perfect replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after failing to replace the Gabonese striker in the January transfer window following his departure to Barcelona. The Gunners take on Leicester next weekend, with the club still being linked with a move for Foxes' star Youri Tielemans.
