PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! There will be those who are very surprised by the inclusion of Tino Livramento in the Chelsea match-day squad for this evening's Premier League clash against Manchester City. But regular watchers of the youth and development sides will certainly not be. Livramento, who has been at Chelsea since the age of eight, has arguably been the standout performer at youth level for the Blues this season. Regularly used at right wing-back for the development squad – but also comfortable further forward and on the opposite flank – the 18-year-old has been a vital attacking component within Andy Myers' side. He has featured 23 times for Chelsea's under-23s this term and played in all three of the Under-18s FA Youth Cup fixtures. Every appearance has been imbued with assertiveness and authority; Livramento has often dominated matches despite being stationed on the right flank. "They’ve been able to show their qualities and it’s always great to gauge how quickly young players take to the football side of training but also how their personalities react to the uplift in pressure and level in training," then Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard explained. Livramento, nor Bate, Lawrence or Soonsup-Bell, featured against Morecambe. But for the former, there has been continued first-team involvement.

. That was partly due to injuries to Antonio Rudiger and Mateo Kovacic but also a sign of the trust Thomas Tuchel has in the youngster. That became more evident when Livramento was involved in training ahead of the Champions League tie against Real Madrid on Wednesday. The teenager, unsurprisingly, didn't feature against Los Blancos but his patience has been rewarded today with a place in the squad against City. Yet if he is called upon by Tuchel, he has the temperament, ability, and physique to make the step up effortlessly. His pace coupled with his strength on the ball has made him a standout at youth level this term. It also ensures he's ready-made for senior football no matter the opposition. Livramento is unlikely to be overawed by the Etihad experience and it's one that will serve him well in the future, one in which big games become the norm.
