PremierLeague-News.Com - Tottenham Hotspur remain on the hunt for a new manager and are keen on Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers, who has also previously been linked with Arsenal in the past
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has warned Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers that he should not consider joining either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur. In recent weeks, Rodgers, who will be looking to lead his Leicester side to FA Cup glory for the first time in their history when they face Chelsea in the final at Wembley tomorrow, has been heavily linked with succeeding Jose Mourinho as Tottenham's new head coach. Rodgers has been identified by Spurs as a potential candidate to replace the newly installed Roma boss ahead of the start of next season, although the north London club know it would be hard to persuade him to take the job on if he successfully guides the Foxes to a top-four finish this season and bags them a place in the UEFA Champions League for next season. But whilst the Spaniard's job appears to be safe for now, former Chelsea star Cole has warned Rodgers against swapping the King Power Stadium for either of the two north London clubs, for one reason. "Spurs and Arsenal are a mess at the moment," said Cole, as quoted by the Metro. Although it is a pretty common theme for a manager to bat reports and speculation concerning their future away, Rodgers, who watched his Foxes side beat a much-changed Manchester United side 2-1 at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening, insisted he was "happy" in the Midlands and not thinking about a move elsewhere. "It’s football, there is always speculation around, every job which comes up there will always be different managers speculated to go in," Rodgers admitted. "Tottenham is a fantastic club, it’s a huge club but my focus is here. I’m at a world-class training facility, the project we’re in here we still want to develop and have a lot of work to do. "I have a great connection with the players, the board and we have plans to keep progressing. While I have the energy, the happiness and see that challenge continuing I’m very happy to be here. "You can’t stop gossip but I don’t think about it."
