PremierLeague-News.Com - Giovani Lo Celso is likely to be another of Tottenham's exits this summer and he has been amongst transfer talk at clubs across the world
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Giovani Lo Celso is likely to be another of Tottenham's exits this summer, with Steven Bergwijn being the only of Antonio Conte's regulars to permanently leave so far. The Argentine was one of four who have been left out of pre-season this summer. Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Sergio Reguilon are the other three in the quartet. Although this hasn't been confirmed, it seems to indicate that none of those players are in Conte's plans for the upcoming season, meaning a permanent move away would seem best. Lo Celso has made 84 appearances for Spurs, with 14 goal contributions. He spent half of last season at Villarreal, on loan, where he made 15 La Liga appearances. Lo Celso was another who struggled for regular game time at Tottenham, before his loan spell. Of his nine Premier League appearances during the 2021/22 campaign, the Argentine started in just two fixtures. Lo Celso failed to consistently perform in Conte's 3-4-3 system and if he remained in N17, this struggle would only grow, with Spurs' recent signings. Last month, Villarreal CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles spoke about the prospect of the midfielder making a permanent move to the Spanish club. "We know that the player is open to staying. But we can’t sit down to talk about an operation like this without having exits," he admitted. "It is a very complicated operation. They [Tottenham] spent a lot of money on the player.

. "He is a great player who has been very happy here and we have been very happy with him. But he is a Tottenham player. It is true that we would like him to be able to stay here but it’s very complicated," Negueroles added. According to Marca, via HITC, the La Liga side have made a £13 million loan-to-buy deal proposal for Lo Celso. If this is the case, Spurs may face competition from various other clubs. The Argentina international has been linked with various clubs but Pietro Lo Monaco, the former Palermo, Genoa and Udinese director, has urged Napoli to sign the current Tottenham man. "[Piotr] Zielinski? If his exit brings me money plus Lo Celso, perhaps on loan with an option to buy, it is a sacrifice that I would make all my life," he said, via HITC. "Lo Celso would make Napoli’s offensive department respectable. Furthermore, with an extra attacking midfielder, Napoli would be really complete." Zielinski is a player who has been linked with a move to West Ham and an exit like that, could pave way for the Argentine to Italy. Fabio Paratici reportedly has a strong relationship with Napoli's sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, from their time at Juventus and that could help complete a deal for Lo Celso. This interest from various clubs creates competition to sign the midfielder and this can only be a boost for Conte. If Lo Celso isn't in the Italian's plans for the upcoming season, then having interest from various teams means Tottenham can work to try and get the best deal when moving the 26-year-old on. However, with just three weeks left of the summer window, Spurs will need to try and get a move completed soon.
