PremierLeague-News.Com - David Moyes hopes Jesse Lingard has enjoyed his spell at West Ham but says it is Manchester United's decision where the England international's future lies
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! David Moyes hopes that having helped Jesse Lingard back into the England set-up and provided him an enjoyable environment to play his football, the 28-year-old will consider a permanent switch to the Hammers this summer. Lingard has thrived under Moyes' watch at the London Stadium since his loan move from Manchester United and he was named EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month award for April. Moyes was thrilled for his player who had a superb April, scoring four goals in four games to edge the Hammers closer to European football next season. "It is fully deserved, his performances have been really good," said Moyes. “He has excelled and probably done better than we hoped when we first brought him in. Lingard's deal at West Ham comes to a conclusion at the end of the season and with one year left on his deal at Old Trafford, the England international's future is still up in the air. Moyes pointed out that it was Manchester United's decision whether Lingard was available for transfer and that he was unsure if the 28-year-old will return to the Hammers for next season. "I am not actually sure how realistic it is," said Moyes. "Obviously, I think Jesse has enjoyed himself, I hope he has, we have enjoyed having him and he is Manchester United's player so they can decide what to do with him, and if they want to let him go then let's hope he would consider us as one of his options." Moyes added: "He is getting a lot of accolades and is back in the England squad.

If selected for England Lingard will potentially be lining up alongside Hammers vice-captain Declan Rice, with the 22-year-old nearing a return from injury. Moyes would not confirm Rice will be fit for the Brighton clash but did add his chances of starting were similar to those of Aaron Cresswell and Angelo Ogbonna, both of whom were in the matchday squad against Everton last weekend.
