PremierLeague-News.Com - Arsenal have been dealt a bitter injury blow as they prepare to take on Slavia Prague in their Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday night
PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Arsenal were dealt a huge injury blow this afternoon when the extent of Kieran Tierney's injury was confirmed. The Gunners lost the Scottish full-back to a knee injury in the 46th minute of their Premier League defeat to Liverpool in what was injury on top of insult following an abject display from Mikel Arteta's men. And we now know Tierney will miss up to six weeks of action, ruling him out of Thursday night's Europa League clash with Slavia Prague and much more. A club release read: "Kieran sustained ligament damage to his left knee during Saturday’s match against Liverpool. That's a huge blow for Arsenal as they look to find some way into Europe next season, and it's likely they will need to win the Europa League to achieve the feat with time and points running out in the Premier League. But just how much of that will they have to do without Tierney? If the Scot is out for the minimum time of four weeks, he might just about make it back for the Europa League semi-final second leg if the Gunners make it through the quarter-finals. That would also see Tierney back for the final four games of the Premier League season when they will face West Brom, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Brighton. But in the worst case, if Tierney misses the full six weeks, he could miss all but one of the remaining Premier League games, potentially returning for the final game, against Brighton. He would also miss all of the Europa League games, unless Arsenal reached the final of the competition, in which case, he would have returned in time to feature in the May 26 showpiece in Gdansk.
