On Monday afternoon the Prime Minister revealed the Government's lockdown exit plans to the House of Commons before announcing them to nation in a televised press conference from Downing Street. As expected, the first step out of lockdown will see schools re-open nationwide from March 8, before the rule of six is allowed outside from March 29 and non-essential shops and salons can welcome customers again and bars and restaurants can serve food and drink outdoors no earlier than April 12. . "Even though we still have ministers saying don't book holidays it's too soon, even this morning Matt Hancock was cautious, that's the date to look forward to from the travel industry's point of view." Going onto to give advice on what type of holiday to book up for if you're wanting to jet off this year, Simon added: "Do the right thing and book a proper package holiday through a real human travel agent, so you know you'll get the holiday, my goodness you deserve, or will get your money back." Lorraine replied: "That's the idea. You can book something but make sure, as you say, you're getting to go with someone really reliable and trustworthy." Simon, who admitted he "couldn't wait to get away," added: "A straight forward package holiday is absolutely the best, gold-plated consumer protection comes with that. "And if you get it through a proper travel agent you've also got someone to take your side and guide you through it, so a lot of sense in doing that."
