PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! Sean Longstaff believes Newcastle United fans can bring a positive impact to the action on the pitch when they return to St James' Park for the game against Sheffield United. Up to 10,000 supporters will be in the stand for Wednesday's game, and Longstaff is of the opinion that empty terraces have resulted in some of the games this season tailing off. "From a personal perspective, it's tough - the games can get into a lull really, and if the fans are there they can pick the game back up and keep the tempo really high," he told BBC Radio Newcastle. "At times, and it's had to be done to play without the fans [due to COVID], the game can get a little bit stale.

. "You've seen that all over the country, especially in the few weeks with Super League stuff, so everyone is buzzing to get the fans back and get St James' Park to have it should be." Longstaff has recently come back into the starting XI - starting five of the last six games in which Newcastle have only lost once. Before the visit of Sheffield United, the Magpies take on newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City - that game kicks off at 8pm on Friday night at St James' Park.
