PremierLeague-News.Com - Breaking Sport Transfer News ! A Northumberland brewery has picked up its fifth award of the year at the recent International Beer Challenge. The Twice Brewed Brewing Company, based at Bardon Mill next to Hadrian's Wall on the edge of Northumberland National Park, has had what it describes as a "bumper" year for its Juno Black beer. A Czech dark lager, it was awarded a Gold in the International Beer Challenge. The competition received thousands of entries from more than 40 countries, with organisers boasting of a rigorous and unrivalled judging process carried out by 'some of the shrewdest beer judges in the land', including retailers, importers, publicans, brewers, writers and flavour analysts. It's the fifth award of the year for Juno Black; which took one of two silver awards at the World Beer Awards, gold at the SIBA North East Keg Beer awards, and another Gold at the SIBA National Keg Beer Awards.

. The recent success for the brewery, which shares a site with the popular Twice Brewed Inn pub, has coincided with the brewery's best-selling brew being showcased in the House of Commons. The Sycamore Gap ale, which is named after the Northumberland beauty spot which is just a few hundred metres from the pub, was one of a selection of independent beers that were put in the UK Government building. Matthew Brown, Head Brewer at The Twice Brewed, was delighted that Sycamore Gap had been sampled in the Houses of Parliament, and added: "We’ve had a fantastic year across a number of competitions and it’s definitely been a bumper one for Juno Black! It’s really satisfying to see our brews getting regional, national and international recognition and as we go into the Christmas season, we’re sure people will be delighted to hear their favourite beers are global award winners."
