The 46-year-old alleged victim was found seriously injured when police were called to an alleyway off Duke's Gardens in Blyth during the early hours of yesterday morning. Police say Gary Wilkie, 46, had suffered injuries consistent with having been caused by a bladed article. James Rutherford, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
